Tracked-in soil, spills and pet accidents can leave carpet looking tired even with regular vacuuming. Marshall Cleaning Service provides professional carpet cleaning for homes in Knoxville and surrounding East Tennessee communities. We use hot-water extraction, often called steam cleaning, to loosen soil and extract it from the carpet.

Before cleaning, we inspect the carpet and discuss stains, traffic lanes and worn areas. The treatment depends on what the carpet needs. Some older stains and fiber damage may remain, and pet accidents that reach the padding can require more than surface cleaning. We’ll discuss those limitations with you before starting.

Red Clay Stains in Carpet

East Tennessee’s red clay often comes indoors on shoes and pets’ paws. Fine soil can settle among carpet fibers, leaving muddy traffic lanes and stubborn spots after the loose dirt is gone.

We pre-treat clay spots, loosen the soil and rinse it out with hot-water extraction. Older or set-in discoloration may remain, so we assess the carpet and explain what cleaning can reasonably achieve.

How Often Should Carpets Be Cleaned?

Pets, children and frequent foot traffic affect how quickly carpet collects soil. Pollen, yard dirt and muddy shoes add to that load as the seasons change.

Cleaning with Hot-Water Extraction

We inspect the carpet, identify problem areas and pre-treat spots and traffic lanes. Hot-water extraction then loosens the soil and removes it along with the cleaning water.

Drying is part of the job, too. Before we leave, we’ll explain when to use the carpet again and what you can do to help it dry. The advice depends on the carpet and conditions in your home.

Pet Stains, Spills and Odors

A muddy paw print, a drink spill and a pet accident need different attention. We consider the carpet material, the cause of the spot and how long it has been there before choosing a treatment.

Professional cleaning can improve many stains and odors. If urine has reached the padding underneath, however, cleaning the carpet surface alone may not address the full problem.

Super nice folks, graciously worked with me when I had to reschedule several times. Josh did a great job on the carpet and on the microfiber recliner - we were very happy with the results, even though (as he warned us) some spots came back due to the age of the spots and the carpet, which we expected. The only negatives (minimal) I have is that most of the carpet stayed wet much longer than the 8-12 hours drying time he estimated, even with the fans going the whole time, and there was some areas of water runoff left on the tile area where he was working on the stairs after he left. All in all, very happy with Marshall and will use them again! Really good price too!

Very professional by letting you know the service technician who will be coming and called 30 minutes ahead of your appointment to let you know they were on their way.

This was a 2.5 year old new home and first time for a clean out and they blew out a birds nest which had been there since new impending airflow.
Plenty of airflow now as it is at 1100 cfm and the dryer is now working properly.
